Artisan Renovation & Design is a home building and remodeling company recognized for outstanding craftsmanship. Based in Central MN, Artisan is a leading residential contractor dedicated to helping you transform your home into the home of your dreams. With us, you can expect:
-
What type of remodeling work do you do? Is there a project too small or too big?We do everything from interior to exterior work. No project is too big or too small. Our goal is to service everyone in our community.
-
Are you licensed and insured for this type of remodeling work?Yes, we are fully licensed and insured.
-
Do you build homes or only remodel? Both! We have experience in new home construction and remodeling.
-
Are building permits required before you start my project? If so, who is in charge of getting those?Yes, most projects do require a building permit. When one is, we will be the ones to pull it. A building permit is not always needed for exclusively cosmetic, non-structural updates.
-
Will I sign a legal contract with you before the project starts?Yes, we have a contract we require homeowners to sign before the project begins.
-
What is the payment schedule like? Do you require a down payment before the project starts? Our payment schedule is broken down into equal payments for the project's duration. These payments are usually invoiced every two weeks. We require a 30% down payment to hold your project on our schedule, which will not be deposited until we start your project.
-
Are there financing options? We do not offer any financing options but work with several local banks to provide construction loans.
-
Is there a timeline for when I need to have material selections picked out and turned in?Yes, there is. However, the specific timeline varies per project. We will communicate with you when those selections need to be made and where to make them.
-
Why is there no one at our house today working? We work with a trusted selection of tradespeople, all who work on their own schedules. Each aspect has to be scheduled days to weeks in advance, a period of time referred to as lead time. We do everything we can to optimize work on your home, but there may be gaps. Unexpected weather, brief gaps between contractors, and other small delays are completely normal parts of a construction schedule which we ask you to have patience with
-
How will you manage the project schedule while keeping me updated on progress? Each project is different depending on the scope of work. We do our best to give you a two-week look ahead on when to expect work to be completed. This will be communicated via email or site visit.
